♦ I Per Press Association. | Dunedin, April 30. Jas. Fox, a farmer of Mandeville, committed suicide this morning by shooting himself. He had teen arrested on the 16th for criminal assault on his ntece under 15 years. The case had been remanded several times. Yesterday, after the last remand, he went home drunk and was found dead in bed this morning with a rifle alongside him. Wellington, April 80. The Premier attended a big native meeting at Papawai, in the Wairarapa, yesterday, and was presented with an address of welcome, accompanied by a handsome kiwi feather mat, and two old greenstone ornaments.
