Produce Markets.
(Per Press Association.) Christchurch, April 29. During the week a fair business has been passing in wheat at quotations for millers' purposes. The rise in the price of oats in the South has had the effect of still further hardening the market here. No sales of magnitude have been reported. A fair amount of oatsheaf chaff has been sold at np to 40s for good, bright lines. Onions have hardened, and potatoes weakened. With the exception of onions (£7 10s) quotations remain as telegraphed last week. Sydney, April 29. Wheat, chick, 3s 6d ; local, 4s 4d to 4s sd ; New Zealand, to arrive, 3s sd, c.i.f . Flour, .£lO ss. Oats, New Zealand, good demand, best, 2s Id. Maize, 2s 3d. Barley, Cape, 2s lOd to 3s. Bran and pollard, 9Jd. Peas, Prussian blue, 3s 6d to 3s 9d. Potatoes, local, £2 15s ; circular heads, £3 15s. Oaions, Victorian, m 10s to £7. 15s; New Zealand, £9. Butter, dairy-made, 8d ; factory, 9-J-d.,, Cheese, New Zealand, 6^d. Bacon, 6d to 7d.
