Messrs F. R. Jackson and Co.'s Wanganui report — The cattle entered for the sale yesterday sold freely, the bid ding being brisk. We sold all that offered. Sheep were at last sale's rates. Pigs show no improvement in values. Cattle— Fat cows, £8 16s to £4 4s; steers, £2 5s to £3 9s ; forward bullocks, jE4 to M 18s ; cows, £2 3s 6d to £2 5s 6d ; milch cows, .£5 2s 6d ; weaners, 13s. Sheep — No fat sheep were penned ; store wethers, 7s 8d to 8s lid. Pigs— Baconers, 21s to 245 ; large pork. 15s to 17s 6d ; others, 12s to 14s.
