Mr W. Douglas' horses Tonki and Mutiny have been scratched forall enegements at the forthcoming Egmont UVs Winter Meeting. _ Goldsborough has been sixteen years at the stud in New South Wales, and bas sired 241 winners, who have, won 474 races valued at 468,000. Wallace has won close on 4,000 soys. in stakes since Mr W. RV Wilson pur- ' chased him for 2,500 soys; and a " contingency" for winning the Victoria Derby. Trenton's fee is lOOgs /per mare, and his list ib fall for 1896, 1897 and nearly so for 1898. The old fellow has undergone two veterinary examinations, and been pronounced perfectly [sound. Word comes from Mr Allison that Trenton has been doing as well as a horse possibly could since bis arrival - in England, and is now iii robust health. Among ihe latest subscribers to him for this season are tbe Marquis of Zetland ' and Earl Grey, both of whom will send Petrarch mares— Peton and Princess Patricia.
