■ o Messrs Abrabam and Williams re* port : — At Levin on Friday we had full yards of both sheep and cattle. With the < exception of several pens of good lambs the sheep were of medium quality only. Lambs were all well competed for, and we cleared the whole of the sheep. The cattle were of good quality, but were not much in demand, though we sold everything with the exception of three pens. Sheep— Fat ewes, 7s Id, 2-tooth ewes in lamb, 5s 6d ; mixed ages, 3s 9d to 5s 3d ; empty ewes, 4s 5d to 4s 9d ; shorn lambs, 2s 9d to 4s 9d ; woolly lambs, 4a 9d ; culls, ls 4d to ls 9d ; 2-tooth wethers, 7s 6d. Cattle— Fat cows, £'d 19s 6d to M 2s ; empty cows, £3 ; beifers in calf, £2 15s to £3 ss ; milkers, £3 5s ; 2- year steers, £3 ls ; mixed yearlings, 80s ; store pigs, - 7s. Horses — Our sale on Saturday . comprised the nsnal mixed entry, mostly more or less of inferior character. How* ever the greater number changed hands. We quote— Foals, 8s to lis ; upstanding backs, £6 15s to £8 ; harness horses, £1 2s 6d to Alo ; ponies, £2 7s 6d to £3 15s j sprmg dray, £U ss ; gig, £12 10s ; .fowls* ls 3d : ducks, ls 9d.
