o [Per Press Association. I Marton, April 27. The census returns show that tbe Borough of Marton has a population of 1151 as against 968 at the last census, showing aa increase of 183 persons. Dunedin, April 27Tbe following census returns are to hand:— Port Chalmers Borough and shipping, 2086 an increase of 58 ; Mosgiel Borough.. 1,382, an increase of 78 ; Maori H_Hr_forougb, 1,483, an increase of 59 ; Boroughs of Linwood 6113, St Albans 5789, Akaroa 613. All show an increase, Linwood of 1533. Wellington, This Day. Nelson, 6743 ; increase 117. Newton (Auckland), 2385, increase 298. Balclutha, 925 ; increase 58. Kaitangata, 1362 ; increase 219. Milton, 1139 ; decrease 19. Lawrence, 996 ; decrease 30. Sumner, 588 ; decrease 26. Alexandra, 456 ; increase 146. Rangiora, 1066 ; increase 83.
