Cattle were difficult of ssle, which was partly due to the inferiority of the stock yarded. All good sorts changed hands. We quote: Cattle— Weaners, 11s to 22s 6d; light fat cows, £4t Os 6d; young cows and heifers, £2 10s; 18-mbrith heifers i 325; milkers, £3 to £5 10s» Sheep — Medium store wethers, 6s 2d to 7s 6d ; shorn lambs, 3s lOd, 4s, 4s 6d, 4s Bd, 5s Id; empty ewes, 3s 6d, 4s Id, ss, 5s 7d, 5s 9d; 2-tooths mixed, ss' 9d; ewes in lamb. 5s to 8s ; fat ewes, 7s 4d ; cull empty ewes, 2s 6d. Messrs A. G. Tame and Co. report of their horse sale on Saturday :— We had a good entry, but the heavy, rain no doubt; prevented: a large attendance. Included in the entry were five good ; harness horses from Hocken tfros;, of FeUding— all good sorts. We also offered six medium draughts and , some contractors' plant.
