(Per Press Assoc ce u »on) Capetown, April 21. Dr Macfarlane, with sixty men, fought fifteen hundred Matabele three miles from Buluwayo. ! The tight lasted two hours, when Dr • Macfarlane retired, in perfect order, j owing to the Maxim gun becoming jammed and thus rendering it unfit for use. The Englishmen lost only two men whilst the natives had fifty killed. April 22. i Buluwayo is provisioned for two months, which is sufficient to last until I relieved. ! Operations are now confined to clearing a zone of three miles around the Laager.
