; In the fourth round for Mr Yates' , trophy Saywell beat Bailey by 22 to 19. i In the first round for Mr Bennies trophy Younger beat Bailey by 22 to 10. > A friendly match was played on Satnrs day last between the following teams : — ' Johnston, Goodbehere, Bray senr, Young (skip), who defeated Phelps, James, Hodren, Sandilands (skip), the scores being 23 to 19. The following teams will represent the local club, on Saturday next, at Feilding, > in the match against Thorndon : — No. 1 Kink — Bailey, Scott, Bray (junr), Young (skip) ; No. 2 Rink — Thomson, Youngar, Saywell, McLaren (skip) ; No. 3 Rink — Carthew, Sherwill, Sandilands, Yatel (skip). These teams are requested to be on the green ot 2 o'clock on Friday afternoon for practice.
