Messrs Abraham and Williams report : Since last report we have held sales at Colyton and Palmerston. On Tuesday, at the former, no cattle were yarded. A moderate entry of sheep came forward, mostly under the hammer. Yesterday at Palmerston a few fat cows made up ..the entry of cattle. Sheep, in average supply, were in moderate demand. Wo find that good quality command very keen competition at advanced rates, and for second quality and inferior stock an inclination to drag. Colyton — 2-tooth Lincoln wethers, good quality and well grown, 7s 7d; others, 6s 6d ; fat ewes, 5s 9d ; shorn lambg, Is 9d to 3s 6d ; woolly do., 4s 6d ; 2-tooth ewes and wethers, 5s 6d. Palmerston — Forward 2-tooth wethers 7s lid ; others, 6s Sd ; 4-tooth do., 7s 3d to 7s lid ; 2-tooth ewes, 5s 9d to 6s 6d ; 4-tooth Lincoln ewes, 7s 7d ; enll ewes, 2s to 3s ; woolly lambs, 4s 6d ; shorn do., 2s to 3s Bd. Yesterday we offered a number of polo ponies. There was a large attendance, but business was limited. We disposed of half a dozen, ranging in price from £5 to JEIB. Freeman R. Jackson and Co. report — At Wanganui : Fat cows, £3 4s to £3 12s ; cows, £1 12s to £2 16s ; weaners and yearlings, 18s to 345. Sheep— At Waverley : Ewes, 3s Id to 7s ; 2-tooth ewes, 5s 2d to 6s 9d ; wethers, 6s lOd to, 7s lOd -, lambs, 4s l£d ; fat ew.es, §s tix 6s lOd. At Waoganui : Ewes, 2s 9d to 3s ; ewes and wethers, 8s 3d ; wethers, 6s ; fat ewes, 6s 3d ; . lambs, 2s 6d to 3s 6d.
