A meeting of the cricket team will be held here, when the personnel will be finally decided. Johns has been notified as a duty appointed member of the team. Garrett, in an interview, stated the Selection Committee was requested by the Cricket Council at Monday's meeting, to close the 14th man and unanimously chose Turner. With regard to replacing Harry by Hill it was agreed the change was only conditional upon the Council approving, or upon the resign ation of Harry. He positively denied the Committee had anything to do with the selection of Kelly nor had they approved of the increase to 15. Melbourne, This Day. Mr Bruce has sent a letter to the press stating the Committee distinctly declined to exclude any players previously chosen.
