THE FEILDING PUBLIC LIBRARY.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —As in reporting a meeting of the Feilding Public Library Committee, held on Friday evening last, you have published in extenso a letter which we had written to the Committee, and also the acknowledgment of it (we cannot call it a reply) which the Committee resolved should be sent to us, we must request that you will be good enough to publish our further letter to the Committee, of which we enclose a copy. We are, Sir, Your Obedient Servants, GOODBEHERE & RICHMOND, Feilding, March 11th, 1896. 11 Feilding, March 10th, 1896. '•Dear Sir,—With reference to the not very courtepus reply of the Committee of the Public Library —under your hand, as Chairman—to our letter of the 4th instant, remonstrating on behalf of our client, Mr Blackmore, against the removal of certain books from the Feilding to the Colyton Library, we beg leave to state for the information of the Committee, that our client having heard that the books in question have, since the date of our letter, been returned to Feilding, does not propose to take any further action in the matter. As the Feilding Star has adopted the unusual course of publishing in extenso the correspondence between ourselves and the Committee, we are sending a copy of this letter to the editor for publication. " We remain, " Yours Faithfully, " GOODBEHERE & RICHMOND. " J. H. Stevens, Esq., " Chairman Feilding Public Library."
