The War in Abyssinia.
ENORMOUS ITALIAN LOSSES. THE SHOANS KILL THE WOUNDED. [Per Press <\ssociation] St. Petersburg, March 9. The Russian newspapers are collecting funds for the relief of the Abvssiiiians I wounded in the recent engagements with the Italians. Rome, March 9. The riots throughout the country continue. The Marquis Rudini succeeds Signor Crispi. The Italian garrison uill evacuate Kassalfi. The latest news is to the effect that the troops in Adigrat have a month's previsions and ammunition. The Italian losses in the recent engagements include 700 white troops, a million cartridges, COUO artillery cartridges, 5000 mule?, and 10,000 rifles. The Shoiins killed the wounded, the native allies of the Italians, amputating their limbs, and otherwise mutilating their bodies. It is feared that Italy will he compelled to retire from the Triple Alliance owing to her shattered condition.
