Bowling Tournament.
(Per Press \ssociatien.) Auckland, Feb. 29. Wellington won the champion fours by 21 to Christchurcb's 18. Taranaki, in the final, beat Ponsonby for the champion by 29 to 20. The bowlers were entertained at a smoke concert last night, and a harbor excursion to Lake Takapuna. March 1. At a meeting the North Island Bowling Association last night, it was decided that the next tournament be held in Wellington in January, 1897. The following games were played off last Saturday on the local bowling green for Mr Yates 1 trophy :— P. Thomson (4) beatH. Phelps (7), 24-12; G. Saywell (4) beat R. Ttoung (scr.), 21-23 ; 0. Bray, senr. (7) beat W. A. Sandilands (7), 21---2 0; B. Gosling (7) beat C Bray, junr. (4), 21-23 ; E. Giesen (7) beat H. Worsfold (5), 21-22.
