. Q NAVAL VOTE OF £18,000,000. (Per Press Association) London, Feb. 28. Mr Goschen's naval policy will be disclosed on Monday. The Times hints that they will contain a proposal for an expenditure of 113,000,000 in construction of aew warships. Mr Curzon, Under Secretary for Foreign Affairs, states neither Turkey nor the Powers have recently proposed an early evacuation of Egypt. Lord Wolseley says he is confident that in the event of war the food supply would be maintained. la the House of Commons, Mr Hanbury, Financial Secretary to the Treasury, stated Queensland and South Australia had proposed to exchange postal orders witb Great Britain. Tho Duke of Norfolk, PostmasterGeneral, referring to the matter, said it wes now under consideration, but it was difficult to obviate tbe risks attached to such exchange. The Pall Mall Gazette says the evacuation of Egypt is only tentatively disenssed, but more formal stages of negotiations towards that end are impending. It may be expected that France will offer better terms to induce the British to withdraw.
