Two distinct shocks of earthquake were felt in the northern districts last night, and caused houses to shake an,d crockery to rattle. Operations in connection with the raising of the ferry boat Pearl have been suspended owmg to a further rise in the river. Rockhampton, This Day. Heavy rain continues throughout the district. The rivers are rising rapidly, and large stretches of railway line is inundated and traffic suspended.
