New Zealand Rifle Association.

(Per Press Association.) Wellington, This Day. Tho Government has informed Major Somerville, chairman ol the New Zealand Rifle Association, that they intend to give a prize for a Federal Match at the forthcoming meeting which will be opened at Oamaru on Wednesday, 11th March. Tliis prize will be quite distinct from the shield and medal. Ammunition will be of the Auckland make. Major Somerville passes througli Wellington on the 20th, en route for Oamaru to arrange for the meeting. There is every indication the meeting will be one of the most successful for years, and greater interest is centred in it as a large number of Australian shots are taking part.
