Disastrous Storm.

(Per Press Association) Melbouene, January 28. A violent storm was experienced at Prentice in the Rutber Glen district. The Presbyterian Church was completely demolished, the Miners Recreation Hall and a number of dwelling houses were unroofed, and many others damaged. Trees were uprooted in all ' directions. i At Great Northern, Hamilton/a stores were wrecked, and several boarding establishments destroyed. ' ,; A miner named McKenna was severely injured by falling debris. Nnmerous narrow escapes are re* ported. The storm lasted a very short time and was confined in a narrow track.
