A BOUNTIFUL RAINFALL. (Per Presa Association.) Sydney, Jan. 24. After an oppressive day a cool southerly wind to-night brought up thunder and heavy rain. Tbe southern district report is that good rams have fallen, while the western report says that the heat has not abated. This Day. A great fall in temperature was reported last night in the western districts. A southerly gale brought up good rain. The first news was from Wilcannia, where at 4 o'clock a terrific dust storm made tbe sun inyisible — the first time for weeks. Burke experienced a great downpour of rain an hour later. Tbe gratitude of the inhabitants was unbounded, and many actually delighted in getting wet to the skin.
