The Wool Market.

PRICES RISING. (Per Press Association.) London, January 23. The market is animated. Competition is hardening, and there is a tendency of increase in prices. Chsistchup.ck, This Day. The third wool sale of the season was held yesterday, a little over 11,000 bales being offered. There was a large attendance of buyers and competition was brisk throughout. As compared with previous sales crossbreds showed little change, coarse wools being perhaps a shade better. Merinos, however, showed a distinct advance in values of \& and Id, station clips ranging from 7d to 7!fd. All fellmongers' lots aroused good competition. The bulk of the wool is in good conditition, being light and bright.
