Jacob, and Councillor Reid, waited on the Minister of Lands on Monday last with reference to the proposed Otara bridge and tbe Kimbolton road. We understand that tbe Minister promised to reconsider the question of sanctioning tbe erection of a suspension bridge at Otara. With regard to tbe Kimbolton road be stated that Captain Turner bad been asked to report on the matter, and tbat tbe Kiwitea County Council would be informed of tbe decision of the Gov ernment as soon as possible. | A letter was received today from the Minister of Lands in which he, practically, agrees to the erection of a suspension bridge provided tbe plans are approved of by Mr Murray, the Engineer.]
