The Eureka Charcoal Filter.

A long-felt want in the shape of an efficient, while at the same time cheap filter is being introduced into the colony by Messrs Coppen and Chamberlain, who have secured the sole agency for the whole of New Zealand for the " Eureka Charcoal Filter." This convenient little filter is made so as to be easily adjusted in the tank so that the water must flow through it before being run off at the tap. No extra expense is incurred in fitting it to a tank which may be done in a moment by anyone, the socket of the filter being made so as to fit into any tap on the inside of the tank. It is so constructed that the possibility of dirt and slime getting through the perforated zinc to the metal aud charcoal is minimised and, although so effective, takes up very small space in the bottom of the tank. The cost (10s) is very low and it cannot fail to find its way into almost every tank, the water from which is used lor culinary purposes. Everyone is aware of the urgent necessity for keeping such water pure from alf the filth likely to be washed into a tank from the roof of a house, and, also, the difficulty of procuring a suitable filter at a small cost. These difficulties have now been removed by the introduction of the Eureka Charcoal Filter. The agents have arranged with Mr Peter Thomson for the manufacture of a quantity, ancl tbey will be procurable from local tradesmen. ,
