Sugar— German beet, 10£ d; Java, ! Is Id. , Danish butter has advanced two kroner ; Colonial is unchanged ; choicest, 100s. With tbe cold weather an improved de--1 mand has set in. Complaints are rife 1 of the freshness of the new butter from ' Australia. 1 A shipment of Australian eggs sold at J 8s per ten doz. but they were small arid J old.
