Garden Fete at Mr Fry's.

The garden fete held at Mr J. H. Fry's residence, Maldno, yesterday afternoon was an unqualified success, upwards of two hundred persons being present in- "; eluding representatives from Kiwitea, l Beaconßfield and other country districts , > in the parish. The - fete - which was in aid of St. John's Parsonage building ■' fund wag held in a very pretty locality and the -visitors were afforded an -oppor- r .. tunity of indulging in lawn tennis and croquet besides the plewura of te- -; ; I union. Stalls were prettily arranged with fancy and useful articles mac% by the ladies of the Makiob, and Kiwitea , sewing bees, The Kiwftea stall of good* was presided over by Mesdames Jaoob, ;•• v Spencer, Jas. BarroW wid Miss Ricbarf. ;■■ son, while Mesdames Coote and G. {- ,:- Fitzherbert hac| charge of the Maldno stall.
