FitzGerald Bros. Circus.
«. . After a tour round the word the ever welcome FitzGerald Bros, have returned to New Zealand with their New .London Company which in conjunction with their circus and menagerie, will open in Feilding on Saturday, December 21st. The Bros, have been signally successful in engaging the very best of London and Continental performers — which include Madame Adelina Antonia, a Roumanian by birth, who performs her great somersault from the top of the tent to a net beneath. Professor Charles Peart, the sensational diver, who performed the unparalleled teat of diving from London bridge and latterly from the topsail yard of tbe mail steamer " Alameda " into Auckland Harbor, after which lie performed a similar feat from topsail yard oi the ship " Borrowdale " and on tbis occasion the FitzGerald Bros., ever ready in the cause of charity, handed £15 which was the result of a collection made on the occasion to the Auckland Blind Asylum. E. L. Probasco, the trainer and manager of " Mahomet," the talking horse, as we understand — really an equine wonder — who tells the time by watches, persons ages, adds, snbtracts and multiplies like a school master. Then comes the wonderful Eclair Bros, contortionists, "Demon" and Crocodile on exhibition which is according to the Metropolitan Press indiscribable. La Belle Rose, the Parisian " Swirl " on the rolling globe and also her " Flight for life " in which the lady slides from the top of the tent to the ground hanging on a wire entirely suspended by her hair. Ted Leonard, the English clown, and his performing animals, the whole of the circus company and menagerie in addition to hhe above, will form the strongest combination ever seen in the colonies.
