A Heavy Sentence.
(Per Press Association). Auckland, This Day. Robert Darrah, asettier at Hikutaia convicted of manslaughter, who set a loaded gnn for a burglar with fatal results, was sentenced to two years' hard labor. Judge Connolly said ho looked on the crime as very nearly approaching to murder, and hoped the sentence would be a warning to others not to set traps to take human life or to injure people.
