Wellington Markets.

A. G. Tame & Co. report of the markets for the week ending 23rd NovemberFat sheep— Market keeping firm ; prime wethers 10s to lls ; ewes 9s to 10s ; fat lambs, 8s 6d. Store sheep— Demand very keen, particularly for forward wethers. We have sold some good lines lately at quotations, and also some lines of hoggets. Forward wethers, 7s to 8s 6d ; smaller sorts 6s to 6s 6d ; 2-tooths, 6s to 7s ; 5s 6d for mixed ewes and lambs ; 8s 6d has been paid for a really good line. Fat cattle—Best bullock beef 18s per 1001 b. Store cattle — Good demand has set in again, forward 'steers up to £5 ; 12---year steers. .£3 to £B 10s ; yearlings, 85s to 40s ; weaners, 20s to 28s. Dairy cattle — Good business doing. Good cows, just calved, sales up to £8. Pigs— Very few offering. Sheepskins and wooi—Demand at our weekly sales still continue good, 6s 6d having been paid for some good green skins ; 5d to 6d for best fullwooled dry skins and demand for any quantity. Wool is coming forward for the lecal sales on 6th December. There is a strong disposition on the part of growers to sell at the private rates, viz., BJd to 9d for good clean, lustrous wool ; lid to 7f d for coarser, and 6d to 7d for off colour. Properties — Country farms are still daily enquired for, and we would have no difficulty in placing several, if suitable and price not out of the wav * •
