Colyton School.
The Colyton School Committee Meeting was held on Friday last. Present — Messrs J. T. Bray, G. Ashworfch, E. Smith and W. H. Power. Mr E. Smith was voted to the chair, in the absence of the chairman. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. A communication from the Wanganui Education Board informed the Committee that the services of Monsr. de Mey D'Alkemade have been engaged as supervisor of physical training, and asking the Committee to provide the necessary apparatus, consisting of clubs, etc., was read, when it was proposed by Mr Power, seconded by Mr Ashworth, That the consideration of this matter be held over until next meeting. — Carried. The Headmaster's monthly report was read and received on the motion of Mr Bray, seconded by Mr Smith.. The Headmaster also handed to the Committee the resignation of Miss Olive Pleasants, cadet. It was proposed by Mr Ashworth, seconded by Mr Power, That the resignation be accepted with regret, and that the chairman forward the same to the Board -Carried. The Committee then adjourned.
