The Wool Market.

The N.Z.Ij. and M.A. Company report j for the week ending 22rd November : — i Wool — Since our last report advices from \ England are of a more hopeful tone. Business has become more active, and prices have steadied wifeh a tendency to firm. The sixth series open in Loadon on 26th instant. Buyers now attending the Sydney sales, realising that the shrinkage in the New South Wales clip will probably be greater than has been estimated, are operating with much more freedom than formerly, consequently the tone of the market has very much improved, and the prices obtained for special Hne3 of greasy are higher than they have been for the past four years. Scoureds are also commanding more attention, the recent rise being fully maintained. Locally wool is coming forward but slowly, owing to the broken state of the weather, which is decidedly against shearing operations. But given a few clear days to allow of the wool being taken off, all hands would be fully occupied. As it is a considerable number of bales have arrived for the local sales, and with an improvement in the weather we will have a large catalogue to operate on by 6th December. Under date November 22nd Dalpety and Co., Limited, London, cable as follows to their Wellington agents, Levin and Co., in reference to the wool sales which open on the 26th iust. : The list of arrivals is closed, and all your wools have arrived in time. The total quantity of colonial wool available, including old stocks, is 172,000 bales.
