O.J.C. SPRING MEETING.
! Chkistchubch, Nov, 4. Magazine was scratched for the New Zealand Cup at 5 o'clock to-night. Later. It was reported to-day that Euroclydon, Quiltiri and Pegasus would be scratched for the New Zealand Cup. At a late hour to-night, however, none of these had been withdrawn, but probably Quiltiri will not go to the post. This Day. The weather is fine to-day, and there is a large attendance. Results : — Spring Hurdles— Empire 1, Couranto 2, Osman 3. Maiden Plate — Culverin 1, Lady Marion 2, Torpina 3. Dividends, £18 8s 6d and £15 16s.
The Racing Conference opened today. Correspondence was read which had passed between the chairman (the Hon. J. D. Ormond) and the Colonial Secretary concerning the Conference's suggested list of totalisator licenses for the year.
