James Campion was charged at the Palmerston S.M. Court yesterday, on the information of the Stock Inspector, Mr Blundell, with offering for sale at Gorton and Son's saleyards at Feilding on the 27 th of September last two cows suffering from tuberculosis and actinomycosis. The defendant who pleaded guilty said he was not aware of the* diseased condition of the cattle. Having heard the evidence, His Worship was of opinion that Campion had no intention or desire to break the law, but there might have been a little more care exercised in the the selection of stock for sale. A penalty of L 5 per head waa inflicted, with costs 7s. — Standard.
