He was very highly thought of and tried to be a horse of great promise. This handsome colt is well worth inspection of breeders, and such a (remarkable chance is seldom offered to them. The same season Sextant won Christchurch Challenge Stakes, carrying 7.4, beating Maxim 7.9, Fair Nell, 3yrs, 7.11- Sextant was then sold to G. G. Stead, Esq., at a very high price, and in his colours won the following classic races during 1888 : Great Northern Derby (Auckland), Hawke's Bay St Leger and Auckland St Leger. Radiant never raced. She is full sister ;o Utopia, Cruiser, and Quadrant, and half sister to Palliser. Her first foal, Lustre, has won several races, and is full brother to Handsome Jack.
