A match was played at Birmingham on Saturday between teams representing the Pemberton and Birmingham clubs, and resulted in a win for the former by 15 runs on the first innings, there being only sufficient time for Birmingham to play the second innings. It is only fair to the losers to say that they did not play with their strongest team. Total 103 At a meeting of the Committee of the Feilding Cricket Club, held on Friday evening, it was decided to engage Mr H. Worsf old's services for work on the cricket ground for three weeks. The action of the Secretary in purchasing a pair of pads, one bat, pair of wicket gloves, batting gloves, and two balls, was confirmed. The Secretary reported subscriptions paid to date were £2, and a resolution was passed requesting members who had not yet paid their subscriptions to do so at once. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the Concert Committee for their efforts in preparing the programme. Tne Committee desire to tkank Mr Be Lisle for the presentation of a bat, and Mr Bartholomew for a new pair of pads. The first match of the season will be played on Wednesday next, between teams representing married and singie members. ■
