A Shocking Tragedy.

(Per Peess Association.) Sydney, This Day. A. youth named Thomas McLean, assistant steward on board the steamer Australasian, went on board early this morning, quarrelled with another steward named Thos Coulson, and stabbed him in the breast, Coulson dying in a few minutes. When arreßted McLean said he was drank, and Coulson pulled him out of his bunk and nearly smothered him. Ho then used his knife in selfdefence, not intending to kill the man.
