The Stock Market.
Gorton and Son's stock report— On* stock sales last week were at Marton and, Feilding. Fall entries came forward at former, not qnite so full a number as usual at latter. At Marton, bidding, ex. ceuting for beef, was rather dull, most of the business being done after the sale. At Feilding it was ibe opposite, bidding throughout was spirited, and most of the stock was sold under the hammer. Every sheep was eventually sold, and all the cattle excepting 10. At Marton also a clearance was made of nearly every* thing Our quotations are:— Martou— Fat bullocks, £6 13s; fat cows, Mss to £5 9a ; yearling*, £2 ss ; cows, £4 to £4 12s 6d. Hoggets, 4s 6d to 7s; store weth<r>, 7s ; fat ewes, 9i 4d. Feilding-* Fat bullocks', £6 Is to £6 3s; forward steers, £4 10a ; wised steers, 2 yr, £% 15s ; weaners and yearlings 27s to 30s ; 2-yr heifers, £2 Os 6d, Boggets, various lines, from 5s 6d to 8j 6I ; indifferent hoggets, Ss 8.1 to 4? ; 2 tooth wethers, 9s . 7d ; mixed sheep, 9s j forward ewes, 6a 6dt089. : .
