The Board of experts appointed to judge designs for a new issue of postage stamps will begin its sittings on Thursday next instead of Monday. The Board will consist of Messrs Barraud, the well-known artist ; lilley, director of the Wellington School of Design ; Hurst Senger, lecturer and instructor in architecture and decorative design at the Christchurch School of Art ; Costall, Government Printer ; and Roa"", Association Secretary of the Post and Telegraph. The number of series of designs sent in exceed 200, and it is understood many of them are of a high order of merit. The second trial of the youths Paulmior, Conroy and Brown on a charge of robbery from Cathies' tailor's shop ended in tho accused being found not guilty, The previous jury were unable to agree.
