o(PEE PBKSS ASSOCIATION). Wellington, July 10. The barque George Thompsor which left Kaipara on June Ist fo Glasgow with a load of timber, put i here to-day in distress. The vessc had experienced a succession of heaA^ gales, which caused a leak, and oi June 23, in longitude 15S west, th water was making such rapid progres that the crew went aft and asked th Captain to head for the neatest port which was done^ The vessel was no then out of trouble, as a succession o hard gales was met with.
