MR GLADSTONE TAKES A HAND. (Per Press Association.) London, June 8. Mr Chamberlain, explaining in his London speech the Employers' Liability Bill which the Government intend to bring in, said it would be proposed to compensate workmen for injuries received through no fault of their own. The cost, he added, would be charged to the particular industry in which the accident arose, aud ultimateily it would be the purchasers that would have to pay. July 9. Parliament re-assembles on August 12th. Mr Gladstone writes urging the electors to vindicate the rights of the House of Commons as the orgau of the people, establish, the honour of England and consolidate the strength of the Empire by conceding the just constitutional claims of Ireland.
