(Per Press Association.) Sydney, This Day. The Rev Prior Vaughan, who is on a visit to Sydney in connection with his mission for improving the condition of the masses, in course of an interview referring to the proposed union of the the Roman and Anglican churches, said it was undoubtedly the sincere desire of a large number of Anglicans to re-unite with Rome — who, like a tender mother, invites her children to return — but it was a mistake to think for a moment she was going to abandon her majestic timehonoured throne and shake hands all round with every sect and denomination.
