The work of diverting the drain right and left of the township is in hand. The result will be closely watohedCaptain Thomson, the Government representative, inspected the bridge sites last Tuesday. I believe he will report in favour of the ' Beehive. 1 When all the money is in that is promised, there will be a debt of about .£ls oil the Public Hall. Please send along all unpaid subscriptions to Mr Welsh. He will also be glad to receive any new subscriptions. The receipts from the concert and dance on the 10th amounted to .£"23. The thanks of the trustees are accorded to those ladies and gentlemen who assisted so willingly in preparing tlio refreshments at the concert and in decorating the Hall. We are to have a grand plain and faucy dress ball on the /sth Jnly. For full particulars, see large bills. Proceeds in aid of the Hall funds. In your report of the concert you say Mr W. Welsh is the Secretary ; it should be Mr A. E. Welsh,— Standard.
