Queen's Birthday.

To-morrow will be observed as a close holiday and amusements will be varied. In Feilding- the. Volunteers will parade at 9 a.m., when the usual fen dejoie will be fired in honor of Her Mojes-ty. At JO a.m. the Fire Brigade competitions will commence and an Association football game will be played on the Oval in .he afternoon, starting 1 Mt 2 30. For the sporting fraternity on this coast there will be races at Wang-anni and Qtaki. At Palmerston a cavalry tournament will be held on the racecourse and the annual football match between the Paimerston and Poneke (Wellington) Clubs will be phiyed on the show ground.
