A Reduction in Salaries.

(Per Press Association). Wellington, May 22. The Post says :— " It is stated that the Directors of the Bank of New Zealand have decided on a general reduction of 10 per cent on all salaries of over pei* annum, to commence from Ist June. Out of sympathy with the shareholders, the president and directors of the Bank of New Zealand, with the Government auditor, have agreed to accept a reduction of 10 per cent on their emoluments for one year from the Ist of June next.
