Charges Against Hotel Licensees.

o {Per Press Association. l Dunkdix, March o. Mr Carew, S.M., gave judgment today iv a case against the licensee of the Douglas Hotel, charged with delaying to admit the police. A sergeaut had gone to the door fronting George street, and was told to go round to the door facing the Octagon, which would not have taken half a minute. The case was dismissed. j In a case against the licensee of the , Shamrock Hotel, the point was raised that as the police had been admitted by the front door, although they could not get further than the passage, there had ' been no delaj', as the police had no right to go all over the premises. The case was adjourned.
