Sad Boating Fatality.

(Per Press Association). Ixvercargill, March 4. Word has been received of a distressing boating fatality at Stewart Island. An artist named Allen, with his wife and child were drowned. The only other occupant, Broadbent, a well known London wool buyer, managed to reach the shore. Later. Broadbent was not a wool buyer but a resident of Gore. The sheet had been made fast and a puff of wind catching the sail capsized the boat Mra Allen disappeared at once, and Allen and son sank after a hard struggle.
