About twentyfive persons Avere present. The Rev. Mr Dawson explained that the meeting had been called in consequence of the Wesleyan Loan Fund Committee having ottered to lend £80, in addition to the LIOO already lent, free of interest, to the Feilding trustees, provided the trustees raised an additional sum of L 62, so as to clear off all local liability, and completely free themselves of the burdeu of interest. After the matter had beeu fully explained by Mr Dawspn, who pointed out that by the raising of the required sum, a large saving would result to the circuit, and the principal due to the Loan Fund be paid off in 8 years, without any special effort on the part of the congregation. A number of printed slips were handed round and signed by those present, the result being that with the amount already promised, a sum of about L3B was raised and will be handed to the Treasurer in time to take advantage of the Loan Fund Committee's offer, which holds good until June next. It is fully expected that the L 24 still necessary will be raised within a very short time.
