The War Between China and Japan.
(Per Press Association.) Shanghai, January 28. The investment of the Weihawei by the Japanese will be completed this week. January 29. The Chinese claim that on two occasions during the last few days they repulsed the attacks of the Japanese on Weihawei, one of attacks being by land and the other by sea. The Japanese wished to attack Chefoo by sea but the foreign warships pre vented the proposal being carried into effect.
