For the second day's Wellington Racing Club's Summer Meeting there was five weather. 1500 people were present ; £1101 was put through the machine, making a total of .£'lß,lßß for the two days, or an increase of ±2572 over the last summer meeting. Results : — Racing Club Handicap— Rangipuhi 1, Mahaki 2, Lady Zetlaud 3. The only starters. Won all the way by a length and a half. Time, 2tnin Usee. Dividend, £3 us. Juvenile Handicap — St. John 1, Heavenly Twin 2, Warnote 3. All started, but Black and Red fell. Fine race. Won by a head. Time, Imin 5 l-sth sees. Dividend, £4 17s. Welter Handicap— Musket 1, Legislator 2, Dreamland 3. Arius also ran. Won all the way by a length. Time, Imin 48sec. Dividend, £4 4s. Hack Race -The Miser beat seven others. Dividend, £2 las. Metropolitan Handicap — Saracen 1, Porepo 2, Britomarto 3. North Atlantic and Princess May were scratched. Good race. Won by barely a length. Time, Imin 16 3 -sth sec. Dividend, _t'4 14s. Farewell Handicap Golden Plover 1, Von Tempsky 2, Legislator 3. Planet, Tuhitaria and Arius also ran. A great race. Won by a head. Time, Imin 58 l-sth sec. Dividend, £1 18s.
