Wellington Land Board.

The monthly meeting of the Land Board was held on Thursday Present — Tbe Commissioner (in the chain and Messrs A. W. Hoes, M.H.U., W. A. Pitzberbert and T. W. Fisher The following applications for land were approved : — W. A. Grace, John Eochelle and Walter Grace, sections 977, 679 and 681, Blocks VII and XI, JJewa The following application to obtain title* were approved :— E. T, Geange, section 1390, &c Bunnythorpe Village Settlement; T. Robson, section 1461, do ; H. Sopp, section 1144, do ; J. Doreen section 1487, do. Mr J. L. Rogers applied for title to section 13. Block IX., Apiti. It was resolved to exempt him from residence, during tbe first two years of his lease, and to grant the title on single improvements as be has resided since early in 1892. Tbe application of H. J. Freeman, section 29, Block K. Pobangina, was ap» proved, the conditions haying been complied with. Mr J. H. A. Peacock applied to transfer section 31, Block XII., Apiti, to Mrs L. Peacock. The matter was left in the handa of the Commissioner to pass if he is satisfied the improvements will be made. Messrs A. and J. A. Paine applied to transfer section 2, Block VI., Apiti, to Messrs J. Bruce and H. Burr elf — Approved. Mr G. Voysey applied that his wife be allowed io transfer section 2, Block XIX, Mangahao. as he finds it too rough to take up and occupy. — It was resolved to inform him that the Board has no power to allow a transfer without tbe first year's improvements being first effected, and that she would surrender. The application of Mr W. B. Cox to transfer Section 3, Block. XIX, Mangahao, to MrF. Greaney, was approved. The Commissioner submitted a schedule of selectors two or more payments in arrears, and it was resolved to give to December 3l«t next to pay up, or their interest will be forfeited on deferred pay. tnent lands and summonses will be issued against perpetual lease selectors. — N .Z.
