Fatal Railway Collision.

A FIREMAN KILLED. THREE MEN BADLY INJURED. QP*B VBBS9 ASSOCIATION). Stdnit, September 15 A serious railway collision occurred between Warath and Islington on the northern line to-day. A goods train ran into another, composed mostly of empty cattle trucks. Robinson, the fireman of the former, was killed instantly, and the driver (Cousins) is in a critical condition. The guard and his assistant were also badly injured. The stock train was stationary at the time, and the driver was busy oiling the locomotive. The guard, seeing the other train approaching, ran to give warning, but was too late. Coming on at the rate of 15 to 18 miles an hour it dashed into the rear of the trucks. Beside* the loss of life, a large amount of damage was inflicted on the rolling stock. The cause of the accident was a disregard of the signals
