A washerwoman applied for help te a gentleman, wbo gave her a note to the j manager of a club > ppoeite. It read as ; follows :— '• Dear Mr ■ , this woman wants washing." Very shortly tbe answer came back — "Dear sir, I daresay she does, but I don't fancy tbe job."
